Album Review

The great stride pianist Ralph Sutton teams up with bassist Milt Hinton and drummer Butch Miles for a spirited concert from Baden, Switzerland. All 14 selections (13 standards plus Fats Waller's "Clothes Line Ballet") had been recorded by Sutton previously but he plays with such enthusiasm and virtuosity that it sounds like he just discovered the joy of such tunes as "Sunday," "Dinah," "Three Little Words" and "All of Me!"
