About Friday Bridge

Friday Bridge are a Swedish indie pop duo whose elegant, synth and harpsichord-laden tunes, heavily influenced by acts like Kate Bush and Altered Images, nod to likeminded Scandinavians the Radio Dept., the Sound of Arrows, and Firefox AK. Yiva Lindberg and Niklas Gustafsson formed Friday Bridge in 2004, naming the project after a small village in Cambridgeshire, England. Their first EP, a cassette-only release titled The Lady Julie, was released on Best Kept Secret that same year; another EP, Friday Bridge 2, came out on Bedroom in the fall of 2005. A handful of split 7" singles and compilation disc appearances followed in the next two years, including an appearance on Friendly Noise's Are You Scared to Get Happy? and a split single with Kelly Slusher (2006's The End of the Affair/Be There). Friday Bridge were picked up by But Is It Art? for their debut full-length, Intricacy, which was released in 2007. The duo's sophomore album, Bite My Tongue, followed in 2009. ~ TiVo Staff
