Bhangra vocalist Garry Sandhu began his singing career at age 12, when he was taught Kavishri, a form of Sikh religious a cappella music. ∙ In 2011, he won both Best Male Act and Best Newcomer at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards. ∙ Twelve of his songs have reached the UK Asian Top 10, with four of them topping the charts. ∙ In 2019, he headlined the Bhangra extravaganza E3UK Live in Birmingham, his first performance in the UK after seven years in India.
