Hardcore outfit Throwdown formed in Orange County, California in 1997. Although the band borrows from metalcore and thrash, they also owe a debt to classic hardcore, which is reflected in their straight-edge lifestyle and ethos. They released their debut BEYOND REPAIR in 1998, and its follow-up in 2000. The band then refined their fiercely confrontational sound on albums like 2003’s HAYMAKER, released on the Trustkill label. Throwdown has appeared at Ozzfest and on the Warp Tour, among other high profile gigs and tours. VENOM & TEARS was issued in 2007.
