Led by talented accordionist Victoria Galvan, Tejano ensemble Victoria y Sus Chikos became involved in the regional Mexican music scene with Preparate, released by Hacienda Records in 2000, including an English-language Latin pop song called "My Baby's Gone"; the track was Galvan's songwriting debut.
