About Jab

A native of Flint, MI, Jab (born Joseph Gamache) was introduced to hip-hop at an early age. After honing his delivery emulating influences like N.W.A., Snoop Dogg, and Nas, he became serious about his own writing. He sharpened his rhyming skills as a battle rapper in Flint, winning a number of contests in his hometown before eventually signing on to FrontStreet Records and becoming a member of their World Famous Losers crew. In 2007 he released the album I Just Look Like This on FrontStreet under the name Jabber Jaw. He would stay busy in 2009, contributing singles to FrontStreet’s digitally distributed 52/50 single series. ~ Gregory Heaney
