Why must New Orleans guitarist Earl King's 1950s material be so difficult to locate on CD? This expensive Japanese import does the job handily, if you can find it — all eight of King's Guitar Slim-influenced Specialty sides (including "A Mother's Love" and its rocking flip, "I'm Your Best Bet Baby") and 17 of his terrific efforts for Ace, notably the hit title track, the equally moving "My Love Is Strong," and the jumping "Everybody's Carried Away," "Little Girl," and "I'll Take You Back Home."
