Although Portland, OR, rock band 44 Long's debut album, 1997's Collect Them All, was self-released, it still managed to sell well in the Northwest, and brought the band a fair amount of positive attention, enough to gain interest from Sideburn (an offshoot of Portland-based Burnside), who issued their second record, Inside the Horse's Head, in 1999.
