This is sentimental country that rocks small towns and chills in the tropics. Chesney shows his hand from the album's first note, a reverberating snare hit that echoes back to the time of Born in the U.S.A. On "Young," the uptempo country rock jam that follows, Chesney’s broad, clean voice celebrates his own glory days with a tale of teenagers torn between wanting to grow up and trying to make time stand still. He has a knack for exactly that sort of contradiction: Later, fiddle-backed "Never Gonna Feel Like That Again" juxtaposes the possibilities of life against the finality of death.
