Spitting Out Miracles is the first American release from the Blue Aeroplanes; keeping one foot firmly in British folk, the record also draws on psychedelia, rock and pop traditions to support songwriter Gerard Langley's thoughtful, cautionary tales of love and politics. An engaging effort, it features the underground hit "Bury Your Love Like Treasure" along with an interpretation of Kenneth Patchen's "Do the Dead Know What Time It Is?"
