Most people know Rowan Atkinson from Mr. Bean. But the title character’s broad, slapstick style is worlds apart from the performances heard here. This isn’t a stand-up act, but rather a collection of set pieces, complete with musical intros and guests. Atkinson brings a droll British comedic style to bits about the Devil giving an orientation speech to newcomers in hell and a colleague advising Shakespeare to rewrite Hamlet, and even to a hilarious interview with Elton John, who sportingly appears as himself.
