Kaiser Chiefs issued their fourth album, The Future Is Medieval, after a three-year silence following the 2008 release of Off with Their Heads. The innovative Leeds outfit launched a "create your own album" interactive download service allowing fans to create their own ten-track record from a choice of 20 songs and to design the cover art.
