Lights, a.k.a. Valerie Poxleitner, has a voice like a computerised fairy, and all of the songs on her delicious debut are a perfect fit for her beautifully unique instrument. On the glittery opener, "Saviour", she sounds young and breathless, whilst the sassy "Second Go" finds her exploring her sensual side, with a slight R&B influence permeating the shimmering wall of synth that surrounds her. Poxleitner even sounds sweet singing over echoing indie sparseness on airy tunes like "The Last Thing on Your Mind".
