Two years after Styrian schlager duo Brunner & Brunner decided to go their separate ways, Charly Brunner returns with a solo album called Ich Glaub an die Liebe (I Believe in Love). Teaming up with German schlager musician and producer Andreas Martin, Brunner offers 13 tracks revolving around love, including the number one single "Was Immer du Tust." The album entered the Austrian album charts at number seven and the German album charts at number 22.

Charly Brunner is one half of the Austrian schlager duo Brunner & Brunner. Born Karl Brunner on February 28, 1955, in Graz, Charly teamed up with his younger brother Johann "Jogl" Brunner (b. March 19, 1958 in Tamsweg, Austria). The duo first recorded under the name Happy and released their first album Tausend Träume in 1985, followed by Frei Wie der Wind in 1987 and Verbotene Träume der Nacht in 1989.
