Bill Kaulitz is a German singer, songwriter, and model born in Leipzig in 1989. When he was 12 years old, Kaulitz formed a band with his twin brother Tom. Augmented by Gustav Schäfer and Georg Listing, the group would become Tokyo Hotel. Charismatic and androgynous, the teen quartet was signed by Universal in 2003 and found overnight success in Germany. In the following years, they went on to achieve international recognition and toured in Europe and North America. In 2014, about a year after the release of Tokyo Hotel's fourth album, Kaulitz announced his plans to go solo using the moniker Billy. His first EP, I'm Not OK, appeared in May 2016.
