About Denice Franke
Singer/songwriter Denice Franke grew up in Dallas, TX, and became a member of the Beacon City Band in the late '70s. After the group split up, she formed a duo with another one of its members, Doug Hudson, called Hudson and Franke. Her alto voice attracted work as a backup singer, and she toured with Nanci Griffith in that capacity. In 1998, she self-released her first album, You Don't Know Me, followed in early 2001 by Comfort. ~ William Ruhlmann
