Teen-punk combo Feaze was founded in Champaign-Urbana, IL in 1997 by singer/guitarist Kayla Brown, bassist Carrie Singer and drummer Tonie Sadler, all just 13 years old at the time of the band's formation. Emerging from the local teen organization Girlzone, the trio soon landed opening slots for area artists including Sarge and Poster Children, with the latter band's Rick Valentin agreeing to helm Feaze's 1999 debut LP, Morning Wood. ~ Jason Ankeny
