About The Redlands Palomino Co.

Although they sound like a typical Midwest Americana band, the oddly named Redlands Palomino Co. is actually from across the Atlantic in England. The quintet revolves around the husband and wife songwriting team of Alex and Hannah Elton-Wall, and was originally formed in London at the end of the 90s. Alex Elton-Wall (guitar/vocals) was joined in the line-up by his wife Hannah (vocals/guitar/fiddle), David Rothon (pedal steel guitar/harmonica), Jamie Langham (drums) and Rain (bass). They built up a strong following on the burgeoning UK roots scene with a vibrant live show and the limited release of a demo CD. The latter brought the band to the attention of the Laughing Outlaw label and their debut album was recorded over the summer of 2003. Released at the end of the following year, By The Time You Hear This … was a rousing collection of home grown country rock that confirmed the band’s early promise.
