The project of singer-songwriter Morgan Nagler, Whispertown 2000 is an indie rock outfit with alt-country and neo-folk tendencies. Tired of performing solo, Nagler recruited musicians and the band began touring and performing regularly in the mid 2000s. LIVIN’ IN A DREAM, the group’s 2006 debut, showcased Nagler’s lilting voice and the group’s earthy, melancholic sound (the album also included contributions from Blake Sennett and Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley). The band’s sophomore release, SWIM, arrived in 2008.
