Former Duncan Dhu's vocalist Mikel Erentxun's long solo career harks back to 1992's Naufragios. His 2012 outing, 24 Golpes, is intended as both a return to his roots and a new point of departure. Analogically recorded by co-producer Henry Hirsch (Lenny Kravitz) in New York, the album unveils Erentxun's new singing voice, noticeably harsher than in the past, in a collection of ten originals of stripped-down classic rock, with heartfelt, pensive lyrics written by Erentxun with the collaboration of Jesús María Corman, José Ignacio Lapido, and Rafael Berrio.
