With a gritty rock & roll sound heavily indebted to the Clash and hometown heroes Oasis, Manchester's Twisted Wheel is heavier and punkier than most of their indie contemporaries, but they are also capable of genuinely reflective moments, like "What's Your Name," seemingly inspired by Pete Doherty's more contemplative side. Named after the iconic central Manchester soul club, local Oldham act Twisted Wheel comprised guitarist and lead vocalist Jonny Brown, bassist Richard Lees, and drummer Adam Clarke.
