Two scorching hot dancehall artists are presented both solo and in tandem on this 19-cut anthology, which offers the latest in the idiom's conventions. Garnett Silk has a booming, yet engaging and soulful voice, which he can also lower effectively. Tony Rebel is in the harsh, attacking, booming class alongside Buju Banton. While they're similar in their abilities to dominate an arrangement, there's enough disparity to make their duets delightful, particularly the memorable "Help The Poor and Needy." The anthology also contains seven decent-to-fine dub tracks, the best being "Prisoner's Dub" and "Killer Dub."

He seemed destined for international stardom, when his career was cut cruelly short by his death in 1996. Born Garnett Damoin Smith in Jamaica's Manchester parish on April 2, 1966, the young DJ-to-be, had decided on his career choice as a small child....
