Album Review

This eighth album from the Welsh mezzo-soprano continues her movement away from pure classical crossover toward a more pop-oriented direction. While its predecessor, 2009's Believe, featured a higher ratio of popular songs, Daydream has more of a pastoral feel, with Jenkins performing a number of traditional songs and hymns. The album also features her contribution to the Doctor Who Christmas special in which she made her acting debut, and a French version of "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical Les Miserables., Rovi
