In Ear Park

In Ear Park

With their sophomore album, In Ear Park, Department of Eagles prove they're more than a side project for Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear and Fred Nicolaus of Golden Suits. Dedicated to Rossen’s recently deceased father, the album taps into a dreamy, vaudevillian baroque pop that playfully leaps from one motif to the next. “Teenagers” is the record’s most blatantly theatrical moment, while songs like the title track weave a wide-eyed mysticism into a subtle, mournful almanac of sounds.
