The Active Lifestyle App offers three levels of dedicated Strength and Balance physical exercise training plans for elderly. Using an interactive, friendly and easy to use interface, old adults, without any computer skills, are able to perform workout sessions and improve their balance and lower body muscle strength. The Active Lifestyle App offers videos and rich written information about the exercises, stores the trainer's performance and progress toward the plan. Yet, to make the exercising activity more motivating the trainers can share their performance and interact with other training partners who are following the same training plans. However, sharing is not mandatory: the app also supports a version where nothing needs to be shared.
The Active Lifestyle app is free of charge! To start training you only need a gmail account and some specific physical training material (i.e., one Pilates ball, one resistance band, and a pair of ankle weights).
