In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a toddler I used to put on my dad's over the ear headphones and listen to his reel-to-reel recordings of folk and rock music from the 1960s and 70s. That memory is captured and celebrated in my song "Headphone Kids" from my 2008 debut album. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jeff Buckley, Original Album Classics: Jeff Buckley - The Grace EP's Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here Queen, Queen Jewels I couldn't find the exact albums, but Queen's "News of the World" was the first LP I ever bought with my own money, and Jeff Buckley's Grace is an important album. I hired Jeff's original drummer Matt Johnson to record drums for my "Colors" album. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Wheels” Ex-KCRW DJ and music supervisor Gary Calamar picked "Wheels" to be licensed for HBO's hit series "True Blood." Such a cool show and I was thrilled to be part of it. It's kinda different than my typical "sound" in all its swamp-boogie glory. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being featured in HBO's "True Blood" series has been a great honor. And working with incredible musicians and engineers in the studio, like Georg Reiff (RIP), Billy Harvey, Dony Wynn, David Pulkingham, Matt Johnson, Steve Christensen to name a few. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Certainly! Performing at Red Rocks, The Hollywood Bowl, The Ryman in Nashville and The Beacon in NYC. Madison Square Garden if I am lucky to be in a project big enough to play that epic arena!
