About Morris Brothers

Identical twin brothers Robert and Steven Morris were born in New York and started on a mutual musical path early, beginning classical piano studies at the age of seven. By their teens, however, the twins had been smitten by rock & roll and taught themselves to play guitar and bass and began to write songs. After graduating from Fordham University and Berklee College of Music, they formed the Morris Brothers Band and released two albums, 1996's Stand Out and 1999's Pop the Trunk, before striking out on their own as the Morris Brothers. One Less Dream, produced by Paul Boutin and recorded at Babyface's studio in L.A., appeared in 2007 from Miles High Records. In addition to their rock career, the brothers have played in the pit orchestras for numerous Broadway shows, including Hairspray, Mamma Mia, and The Wedding Singer, and provided the music and lyrics for the musical Once Around the Sun. ~ Steve Leggett
