Inspired by true events, Blue Caprice investigates the notorious and horrific Beltway sniper attacks from the point of view of the two perpetrators, whose distorted father-son relationship facilitated their long and bloody journey across America. Marked by captivating performances by Isaiah Washington and Tequan Richmond, lyrical camerawork, and a unique and bold structure, Blue Caprice documents the mechanisms that lead its subjects to embrace physical violence. Blue Caprice paints a riveting portrait of 21st-century America and a haunting depiction of two cold-blooded killers.

Fresh: To the relief of the public around the District of Columbia, the Beltway sniper case was solved a long time ago. But in some respects, Mr. Moors's haunting film suggests, it is still a mystery.
Fresh: Don't miss it.
Fresh: The grainy texture of the imagery is darkly arresting. Isaiah Washington is charismatic and fearsome, channeling a toxic mix of compassion and rage.
Fresh: May be a frustrating film for viewers looking for a straight piece of historical fiction...This is no photograph, but an impressionistic sketch of the communicability of evil - and in that respect it's a powerful piece of filmmaking.
I was at the steering of "Blue Caprice" at the 2013 Deauville film festival in the presence of the director of the film and jury of the festival. I knew about the story of the DC snipers and how they killed many people. But focusing on the film I just found it so lifeless, dull, and at times, extremely slow. That being said, it is a true story and it is basically very well portrayed. Worth the rent at least. Grade: B+

Anyone watching this movie already knows about the story but I'm not sure they realize how much the adult brainwashed the younger character.
In fact, parents "brainwash" children every day under the guise of 'child rearing'. And quite a few idiot parents (ok forget that angry analogy) are STILL repeating the abuse they endured as a child onto their own children. Break the cycle of abuse people!!!!! Wake up!!!! Your children are watching & listening to you. Be better parents than our's were. When you know better, you do better.
I thought this movie was going to be more emotional ....great actors... Maybe just the timing was off about
