Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Besides some fine dogfight sequences, it often feels threadbare, just an exercise in recycling. – Walter V. Addiego, San Francisco Chronicle, Nov 25, 2006

Rotten: Aafter a while -- there must be six major fights against unending numbers of German planes -- it feels like special effects run amok. – Jack Mathews, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The computer-generated flying effects are the only reason to see the movie, but at some point somebody left the computer on too long, so it went ahead and spat out the script. – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: Flyboys has computer imaging and a fleet of vintage aircraft on its side, but it remains considerably less convincing than Wings (1927), and less exciting. – Steven Rea, Philadelphia Inquirer, Jun 24, 2010

Great Movie! Can't believe no one reviewed it!

Great WWI flying movie. Anyone who likes action and history this is a must see!

Excellent Movie

I thought this was a great movie. It was etertaining with plenty of action and a fairly good story. For those of you who like war movies it fits the bill just fine.

one thing was realistic...

About the only historically accurate things in this move was the fact that the war took place in France (amongst many other European countries)...are we Americans that "special" that we have to have everything dumbed down for us? there was never a full squadron of red planes (the list of hollywood drival goes on).....please honor those whom fought in these wars by telling some facts and not this sugar coated crud
