Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The frequent use of direct-address narration feels too much like a fiction writer's device, however much it wants to be a hook. – David DeWitt, New York Times, Oct 10, 2013

Fresh: First-time director Nate Taylor skillfully evokes a clammy sense of dread in this stealthily suspenseful indie thriller. – Joe Leydon, Variety, Oct 10, 2013

Fresh: Written with a poet's ear and directed with an artist's eye ... – Annlee Ellingson, Los Angeles Times, Oct 10, 2013

Fresh: Thanks to some well-drawn characters and tight casting, including Anna Camp and Lindsay Beamish as an exceptionally troubled makeup artist, Taylor overcomes the script's minor implausibilities. – Chris Packham, Village Voice, Oct 9, 2013
