About the Movie

In the dying days of World War II, a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist (Hellboy’s Karel Roden) conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down this terrifying new menace – or die trying.

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Narrative depth may be in short supply, but the energy, invention and humor are bracing. And let's face it: Sometimes cheese tastes good. – Andy Webster, New York Times, Jul 25, 2013

Fresh: Pic's monotone edges towards monotony by the end of the third act, but as no-budget calling-card features go, Frankenstein's Army remains a grisly cut above. – Scott Foundas, Variety, Jul 22, 2013

Fresh: Designed by Raaphorst and brought to life by Rogier Samuels's effects studio, Unreal, the half-glimpsed creatures are magnificent and repellent. – Rob Staeger, Village Voice, Jul 23, 2013

Rotten: Frankenstein's Army is a ludicrous World War II horror flick bogged down by its found-footage gimmick, which is compromised and contradicted so often that it becomes a distraction. – Ignatiy Vishnevetsky, AV Club, Jul 25, 2013

Zombies, robots and monsters combined=Perfection!

This if from the director who made the amazing "Worst Case Scenario" zombie trailers(look them up online). Though he wasn't able to make that movie due to various issues behind the scenes, he came through with a very similiar take: "Frankenstein's Army". A rag tag group of Russian soldiers come across Dr Frankenstein's grotesgue experiments with dead Nazi soldiers. A fun, action packed romp with lots of great special effects(the creature/nazi zombie suits are amazing) this will keep your interest from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

That was the craziest movie I've ever seen! It's full of blood and guts. If your bored and looking for something to fill the space then rent it. I would suggest waiting on the price to come down some. I paid too much.

Amazing! Very original!

Loved it! Zombots were crazzy
