The day after soon-to-be valedictorian Henry Burke (Matt Bush of ADVENTURELAND, PIRANHA 3DD) takes a hit of the chronic for the first time, his school principal (Michael Chiklis of TV's THE SHIELD, FANTASTIC FOUR FRANCHISE) institutes a zero-tolerance drug policy and mandatory drug tests for all students. Henry has two options: fail and lose his college scholarship, or team up with his stoner friend Breaux (Sean Marquette of AMERICA'S SON, TV's THE 4400) to beat the system. They steal high-powered ganja from the appropriately named "Psycho Ed" (Adrien Brody of MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, KING KONG) and spike the school's bake-sale brownies, getting the whole school - faculty included - completely high. But with the student body starting to unhinge and a pissed-off Psycho Ed on their tails for stealing his stash, they must find a way to keep their half-baked plan from going up in smoke.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Once the plot has sprung into action, "High School" is a bumpy ride that takes a few amusing dives but never coheres into anything special.
Rotten: Brody's performance won't earn him a Oscar to place next to the one he earned for The Pianist nine years ago, but it's the only thing that makes High School marginally worth catching.
Rotten: Somehow, High, directed by newcomer John Stalberg, lured serious talent, including Adrien Brody, Colin Hanks and Michael Chiklis. Even odder: They're the worst actors of the bunch.
Rotten: Lacking real kick, "High School" winds up as irksome as a bag of ditch weed and as lame as the pun of the film's title.
All you indie and stoner kids will love this one!
Dont get me wrong this movie is not for everyone. Its more underground than most stoner movies, but none the less, it is now one of my favorites! Older audiences wont have much of a liking to it. But dang! Me adn all my friends couldnt stop laughing. The story is great. And it took me back a bit to my earlier years in high school and reminded me that this is something me and my friends would of done. Its funny, crazy, and something you will definitly love. All stoners will be able to relate to this movie! So sit down and have a good laugh! Well worth the watch :)
So freakin funny! "Bangin down a stiff Lucy. I think it has something to do with the Beatles." I about died.
Everyone one was funny and just as odd as possible. This is the goofball antics that I know out of your typical "stoners" and how rediculous everyone gets bent out of shape over the fact that they're not having as much fun.
I was the geek character in high school. Always scared of making a mistake, not getting into Ivy League, fear being a&$-raped in prison, or worse never coming down and ruining my perfect future. Sad sad sad.
This movie has a good message about being true and not giving up on your friends because you are who you are. "To be or not to be," life's about choices, don't be too scared to make one!!!!
