Light Up The Blues is a documentary style concert film that captures an inspired evening of music featuring Crosby, Stills and Nash with musical guests Lucinda Williams, Rickie Lee Jones, Don Felder, Chris Stills and three gifted musicians on the autism spectrum with Jack Black as the emcee, all to benefit Autism Speaks. Interview footage as well as spontaneous backstage moments accent the film with a realistic and touching look at the challenges presented by autism as well as the tremendous hope and inspiration given to so many by individuals with autism pursuing their dreams.
Chris Stills and kids steal the show.
The surprise of the Night is Chris Stills and his performance along with the Autistic Kids as they Sing with Style and Grace...great pull on the Heart Strings.
Heartwarming & Entertaining!
This is such a beautiful, informative and entertaining film! I thoroughly enjoyed all the great performances, especially Chris Stills and his brother Oliver. Another standout performance was Nick Guzman performing “Almost Cut My Hair”-he has a great voice, plays his acoustic guitar beautifully and has professional stage presence. Rock on Nick-you were awesome!
I appreciated the behind the scenes footage and commentary as well. It was very informative to hear from the kids and their families talk about autism and it’s effect on their lives. It definitely increased my awareness of autism that I didn’t have before.
a must see :)
