In this romantic drama set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War and the moon landing, two charming and passionate young soldiers (Liam Hemsworth and Austin Stowell) will go to any length for love – even sneaking away from a war to fly halfway around the world. When Dalton Joiner (Stowell) finds out that his girlfriend Jane (Aimee Teegarden) has dumped him, he vows to go home during his one-week leave to win her back. His best friend Mickey Wright (Hemsworth) will do anything to help his buddy out – as long as there might be a few girls along the way. In just seven days they must get to the States, change Jane’s mind and make it back to the war without getting caught. But when they arrive stateside they find Jane and her beautiful, committed activist friend Candace (Teresa Palmer) at the heart of the anti-war movement. Joiner and Wright must make some life changing decisions as they spend a week in July 1969 learning the truth about love, honor and commitment.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: This trifle about two soldiers who sneak away to America while on leave unfolds in a world about as realistic as a flashback on a sitcom.
Rotten: The CW version of the Vietnam War and the 1969 counterculture, Love and Honor hews to a mushy formula far older than its subject matter.
Rotten: Hemsworth has presence, but he also represents this film's biggest problem: It feels like a bunch of good-looking kids putting on a show.
Rotten: Everybody learns something about the illusion of love and the power of honor. It's hard to believe it wasn't written by Nicholas Sparks.
the reason its only rent
When it's a independent movie they don't have a lot of money so sometime itunes let you rent it before it's in theaters.
This movie seriously needs to be in theaters and making tons money! Yes it's a chick flick but it was so good! So lucky we get to see this before it hits theaters!! 👍👍💗💗✌✌
One of the best romance movies I've ever seen. Great actors and actresses. Shows the true meaning of commitment
