About the Movie

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt star in a high-stakes adventure about two passengers, Jim and Aurora, onboard a spaceship transporting them to a new life on another planet. The trip takes a deadly turn when their hibernation pods mysteriously wake them 90 years before they reach their destination. As they try to unravel the mystery behind the malfunction, they begin to fall for each other only to discover that the ship itself is in grave danger. With the lives of 5000 sleeping passengers at stake, only Jim and Aurora can save them all.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The spectacle feels lifeless and what could have been a challenging moral provocation dissolves into sappy, feel-good pandering. Lawrence and Pratt deserve better. So do audiences. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Dec 21, 2016

Rotten: Passengers, a fairy tale set aboard a luxury spaceliner, has billion-dollar ideas and five-cent guts. – Chris Klimek, NPR, Dec 22, 2016

Rotten: Perhaps as a well-written play for a cast of three, "Passengers" might have been first class. Instead, it's just another mediocre thrill ride. – Peter Keough, Boston Globe, Dec 21, 2016

Rotten: Who knows why Mr. Pratt and Ms. Lawrence signed up for this production; still, they're both pros and they do what they can with the wretched material. – Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal, Dec 21, 2016

I had low expectations, thanks to negative rotten tomatoes score but I really enjoyed the movie. Great score & wonderful actors with great chemistry. Check it out

I give rotten tomatoes a 0!

Rotten tomatoes got it wrong, went to see this movie and it was the best that I've seen this year. This is a movie that I will own for sure as soon as it comes out, loved watching every minute of it in the theaters with my wife who enjoyed it as much as I did.

The story was unexpectedly emotional and dealing with everyone's fear if dying alone. I saw this in theaters and was greatly impressed.
