Plot Summary

"SHADOW tells the strangely ethereal story of David (Jake Muxworthy), a young soldier returning from a tour of duty in Iraq, who decides to go on a mountain biking adventure in Europe to forget his battle-weary past. In the woods he meets pretty young stranger Angeline (Karina Testa) and they team up to explore the picturesque surrounding area. Soon they learn of a mystifying local myth… a legend that will force David to face more shattering fears than he did during wartime. To meet the bloodthirsty butcher Mortis (Nuot Arquint) and to discover that reality is sicker than any nightmare."

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Just when you're settled into thinking you're watching another survival horror, there's a massive and quite bold change in direction and all bets are off. – Phelim O'Neill, Guardian, Apr 28, 2011

Fresh: presents one of the creepiest, most grotesque-looking antagonists seen since Max Schreck embodied Count Orlock in Nosferatu (1922). And if that does not whet the appetite, there is a scene of gratuitous toad-licking too... – Anton Bitel, Little White Lies, Dec 1, 2010

They don't make good horror movies anymore

I saw this film in the theatre it's really bad don't waste your money on pre-ordering this movie

Thumbs DOWN to the negative reviews!

It amazes me when people put a review on here saying how much they dislike a movie, but yet....they give NO REASON why!! they just say "how bad it is" and that's fine, but then BACK-UP your opinion as to why you dislike it, if i were to take these customer reviews seriously, i'd never see a movie! just for the mere fact of them saying "it's bad" without saying why it's bad.
This movie was incredible as was the acting, the actor who protrayed "shadow AKA Death" was so creepy and eerie that he was PERFECT for this movie. this was actually a horror movie that you could not predict what was going to happen next or how it would end. The whole time the main characters were fighting death (while they were still in war) but only the one guy at the end survived because he did beat death, he killed him at the end, for the "TRUE" horror fans, I highly recommend this movie!

Do not go near this movie. You've been warned.

hey man, dont even know why i watched the trailer. it freaked me out. would never even watch this type of horror. I just would read any newspaper in the good old USA on any day of the week.
