awesome movie but don’t buy on itunes

when buying a digital movie, especially on itunes, always look at the running time. this version of shaolin soccer is only 1 hour and 28 minutes. the theatrical version (not some extended cut or limited/special fancy edition; the actual length of the movie they played in theaters in asia when this movie came out) is 1 hour and 53 minutes. i dont know why the US likes to trim down foreign films. i’ve seen the missing parts of the movie and they were absolutely hilarious. it’s not like they were inappropriate or anything.

but like i said in the title, great movie. but if you can find the full length of the film, buy that instead.

Awesome

I enjoy this movie but the translation (Chinese) Cantonese every thing they say does not Match English subtitles please fix that.

Watched every road trip

I've watched this more times than the amount of all the fingers I have. I watched this with my older brother on every road trip we went on as a child and never got tired of it. It is such a well written and hilarious movie. I guess the humor in this may be different from what some people are used to, but this humor isn't the type to make you chuckle. It's the type that makes you laugh out loud with tears without it being too cliché or "try hard". There will always be a funny moment every 1-3 minutes except for the occasional meaningful moments. The characters are all interesting and well built also. I definitely recommend this movie.
