About the Movie
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane delivers his signature boundary-pushing humor in the outrageous comedy-blockbuster critics are calling “hysterically funny!” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone) John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) is a grown man whose cherished teddy bear came to life as the result of a childhood wish…and hasn’t left his side since. Can John’s relationship with longtime girlfriend, Lori (Mila Kunis), move forward with his lovably profane buddy in the picture?

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: I tried to resist but couldn't.
Rotten: Everything goes on too long -- Ted's carousing, Lori's watchful waiting, John's wistful indecision.
Fresh: It's a goofy premise pursued with crass -- as well as sentimental -- relish.
Fresh: You'll feel the warmth and camaraderie of a Bostonian and his little sentient bear.

Funniest Movie of 2012
When I first went to go see this movie, I was a little bit worried that it wouldn't be as funny as I expected. Most movies coming out now aren't really funny and that's why I'm starting to stray away from them. Ted, however, is not one of those movies. It's hard for a movie to keep me laughing from the very first scene to the very last scene, but Ted really nails it. Hard. If you've ever seen Family Guy, you know what to expect from a movie that was created by the same guy who made Family Guy. And who would have ever thought to make a movie with a teddy bear as one of the main characters? The humor in this movie is basically the kind of humor you see in Family Guy; low-brow and witty, yet smart and effective. Some of the jokes do push the limits a little and are sort of offensive, but that's what a funny comedy movie is supposed to have. But what I liked most about Ted is that it has a perfect mix of laughs and heart. Around the 3/4 mark of the movie is when things start to get more emotional, but still knows how to keep you laughing. And at one point of the movie, I felt really weird because this is the first movie that I've actually deeply cared for a stuffed animal. Although Ted was a plush toy, he really came off as a human; he talks like one, smokes and parties like one, drives like one (well, sorta), hates working like one, cusses like one, and overall behaves like one. If a comedy movie can keep me laughing almost nonstop and actually put a few tears in my eyes, then I will definitely remember it and will buy it in HD when it comes out.
FUNNIEST MOVIE OF 2012!!!
Finally a carefully well made comedy that actually has story & heart. Just like a live version of Family Guy. Thank you Seth Macfarlane for this cute & crude comedy that is now one of my new favorite movies!!!
