Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: There's little fun in being asked to identify with yet another female character who spends her running time being shamed like a dog who soiled the rug.
Rotten: A plot of insufferable silliness contrives to keep the lovers on tenterhooks and the audience in a permanent cringe, none of it helped by Thurman's thoroughly phony performance.
Rotten: This week we learned that 99% of Sun readers want a return to capital punishment. I learned that 100% of me wants it for 100% of people involved in this romcom.
Rotten: The prognosis: a total emotional block.
This is the first girly movie I have seen in awhile that I truly wanted to own. I had never heard of it and didn't think it was going to be very good but all the actors have amazing chemistry. It's very predictable but the romance is very sweet.
I Love Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Colin Firth and I was really excited about this movie. Unfortunately the plot is very unbelieveable and Uma Thurman's character and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's character fall in love after knowing each other for about five minutes. There is not much character development and it fails to draw the viewer in. I was definiitely dissapointed by this movie. I really wish this movie was better! I still love Jeffrey Dean Morgan though.
Loved this movie!
Funny, heart-warming, thoroughly enjoyable. Totally feel-good flick.
