Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A solid action-adventure flick. – Andrew O'Hehir,, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: The directors Larry and Andy Wachowski have made the intricacies of the original Matrix ... secondary to the main events of spectacle, fighting, and stunningly wooden dialogue. – David Denby, New Yorker, Apr 5, 2004

Rotten: Noisy, repetitious and bloated with the Wachowski brothers' jumbled, digital-age philosophy. – Jack Mathews, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: What Gertrude Stein famously said about Oakland applies equally to Revolutions -- after all the secrets are revealed, there's no there, there. – Lou Lumenick, New York Post, Jun 24, 2010

Studios Decide On Rentals, And ...

From what I recall, The Matrix was designed as a trilogy. This is one of the few trilogies that had a purposely designed, sequential plot. You may notice some of the clues from the first film, but you don't know that until you see the last. I'm pretty sure iTunes has no say so on what is rented, and what is sold. So it would be kind of cool if people wised up about that and started to complain to the providers of the content. I only stress this because I have the same issues, and I truly believe they would do financially better if they allowed us this option on all films. In addition, like everyone else, I would like to see all seasons of all shows. Especially all of the Star Trek series, Roswell, and favorites of others. I'm sure many agree.

Doesn't make sense without Reloaded.

While not spectacular, Matrix Revolutions is a solid conclusion to the Matrix Trilogy. However, this movie doesn't work without having first seen Matrix Reloaded. As such, iTunes should really add the missing link in the Matrix Trilogy.

whats up

how do you not have the 2nd part of this trilogy. its ludacris that such a thing has even come about Itunes come on now you can't have an "Oreo" without the middle and you can't have a trilogy without the whole thing. please consider what you have done and the actions that should be taken to fix this.
