It's 24 hours of pure exhilaration, complete exhaustion, and it's not for the faint of heart or the ill-prepared. It is the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. But before you win it, you have to master finishing it. This film chronicles the dedication, the determination and the spirit required to not just survive 3,000 grueling miles, but to be in a position to win one of the greatest races in history.
Quite possibly one of the best real life docu-dramas ever filmed.
Oh, and it's about racing. I love documentaries of all kinds and all shapes and sizes, from ones about huggable wildlife to space flight, wilderness to machine. I've hundreds of them, watched hundreds more. Wasn't sure what to expect with this one, would it be a 90+ minute advertisement for Audi? Would it be a nothing more than TV-style race footage with some interviews? Would it be all at the race track with simply narration? What Truth in 24 is nothing short of breathtaking human, edge-of-your-seat, drama presented near pitch perfect, with flashbacks, intersplicing of interweaving stories, including giving perspective on the main characters, that any heart-beating human being with a soul will as the credits role feel invigorated, and quite a bit moved. It's superbly crafted filmsmanship, some of the best top-notch editing and sound-work, from the score to the actual audio of the event. It took any expectations I had and left them so far in the dust that by about halfway through, I was so engrossed, the world around me disappeared as I watched it streamed to my HDTV with the stereo cranked, I had that moment, the fabulous moment where you get sucked into the movie, which for me is often not an easy feat. A movie where you lose sense of time and place and become one with the story line, the drama, and the pace of it. And it's FREE! That's right, perhaps one of the finest documentaries, and I say that without hyperbole, certainly to hit iTunes, doesn't cost you a thing. It's presented in digital format, with some of the best sound I've heard from an iTunes purchase, some of the best editing, and best real life drama and emotion and it doesn't cost a cent. You owe it to yourself if you love good films, good human emotion, great film making, documentaries, to download this movie immediately and, if you own a high definition set up, turn up the speakers, and try to kick back in your seat and take it in... but I warn you, sitting back after some of the action starts, gets hard to do, my palms are still sweating and my veins have twingles of adreniline. This is an incredible, incredible movie. Download it now!

Never been into racing, but I love cars and Audi and well made docs. Audi aimed to please from the get go; they hired NFL Films to make this mindblowing film. It was so good, I tuned into the Sebring race... I'm hooked now.
An incredible story, about three amazing machines, and the men who's will powers them.
This is simply a must see documentary for everyone remotely interested in motorsports. The machinery and racing action is faithfully and dramatically represented as few other documentaries have every captured. In my mind, this is the "Le Mans" of our generation. Above and beyond a showcase of machines, this documentary really revolves around the incredible teamwork of Audi and the bonds formed between it's members. The dedication to a common task and to each other, along with the implicit trust these men share with each other, is inspiring. I can't recommend this documentary highly enough, no matter what your background or interest it is simply one of the most epic stories I've heard in quite a long time.
