Spanish-Jordan actress and indie electronica diva Najwa has several releases to her name, either as part of Najwajean with DJ/producer Carlos Jean, or as a solo artist. Actually, most of Najwa solo recordings are collaborations with her other musical partner, producer Raúl Santos, and such is the case of 2012's Donde Rugen Los Volcanes. The second Najwa album sung entirely in Spanish after 2010's El Último Primate, Donde Rugen Los Volcanes is a work of minimalist electronica characterized by oppressive, soulless beats, and hollow ambiences, rendered human only by Najwa's wistful vocals and melodies.

Najwa Nimri was born in 1972 to Jordanian and Spanish parents in Pamplona, Spain.
