Album Review

Taking their cues from Linkin Park and Rage Against the Machine, Paper Tongues form the bedrock of their sound by combining rock instruments with elements of hip-hop. The band's debut also finds room for ballads and funk-pop, though, and a rotating cast of producers ensures that each song sounds different from its predecessor. There seem to be several different bands at work here, a sign that Paper Tongues are focused on turning an eclectic set of influences into an equally eclectic set list.
