About Brown Hill

Inspired by classic releases from the Motown and Stax label catalogs, gritty-voiced Brown Hill is a throwback R&B artist. His first album, a self-titled set, was released in 2010 with a guest appearance from Billy Preston on the song "Daddy's Caddy." A year later, around the time he appeared at North Sea Jazz Rotterdam and performed his spin on "Streetwalker" with the song's originator, guitarist Jan Akkerman, he released a follow-up titled It's Personal. In 2013, he competed on the Dutch version of the televised talent show X Factor and was eliminated in the third week. ~ Andy Kellman
