About D'Molls

This Chicago, Illinois-based heavy metal band featured Desi Rexx (vocals, guitar), Billy Dior (drums), S.S. Priest (guitar), Nigel Itson (vocals) and Lizzy Valentine (bass). Their self-titled 1988 debut album caused a stir at the time of its release, with its self-assured Aerosmith -meets- Poison approach. However, the songwriting on the follow-up, Warped, was weak and rigidly formularized, lacking the cutting edge of its predecessor. They relocated to Los Angeles, but with poor reviews and sales to match, they disbanded in 1991. Rexx went on to work with former Derringer guitarist Danny Johnson, while Itson joined Millionaire Boys Club.
