About Jennifer Day

Not to be confused with the country artist of the same name, Jennifer Day is an actress, television show hostess, and Internet personality who has also branched out into a musical career. Of Italian and Polish heritage, Day was born in Italy, and lived there until the age of four, when her family relocated to the United States. Day grew up in Michigan, where her parents were musicians and educators who often played wedding receptions and social events. At the age of five, Day began taking music and dance classes and joined the family band, and she soon decided to make music her career. After completing her education, Day moved to Los Angeles, where she sought to launch a career in show business. In 2004, Day made her screen debut in the horror film Evil Deeds, and she was soon appearing regularly in independent and direct-to-video projects as well as making occasional TV appearances. Looking for a new vehicle for her musical talents, in 2011 Day debuted her show Jennifer Day TV, in which she and her friends travel the country, visiting luxury hotels and resorts and performing while dressed in revealing and provocative outfits. Available through broadcast and cable outlets as well as online, Jennifer Day TV developed a cult following and created greater demand for her music. In 2015, Day released a single, a cover of Stacey Q's dance-pop hit "Two of Hearts," and the dance label Thump Records included it on their collection Freestyle Explosion, Vol. 8. The single won enough attention that Day was signed to a record deal with Thump; her first album for the label was expected to be released in 2016. ~ Mark Deming
