About Marie-Louise Dähler

Harpsichordist Marie-Louise Dähler focuses on contemporary music as a soloist, chamber music player, and continuo player, often accompanying violinist Paul Giger. She is also a composer. Dähler made her recording debut in the Baroque field, issuing an album of Bach flute sonatas with Vienna Philharmonic flutist Wolfgang Schulz. In 1995, she was heard on the album Changements, featuring the music of contemporary composer Rudolf Kelterborn. Dähler has been recognized mostly for her work in contemporary music, often in collaboration with avant-garde violinist Paul Giger. The pair began working together in 1999, and Dähler has appeared on several of Giger's albums. In 2022, Dähler was heard on Giger's album Ars moriendi. She has been on the faculty of the Musikzentrum St. Gallen in Switzerland since 2004.
