In 2015, Michele Garruti founded London-based label Oracle Records, which releases his film soundtrack piano covers. ∙ His solo piano versions of film soundtrack themes range from the classics (“Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s) to contemporary (“City of Stars” from La La Land). ∙ He’s been inspired by minimalist composers Philip Glass and Max Richter, as well as such legends as Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer. ∙ Garruti’s 2020 solo album, Glitch, blends neo-classical music with electronic textures. ∙ Garruti coproduced the 2016 jazz tribute album We All Love Burt Bacharach, featuring artists Massimo Colombo, Peter Erskine, and Bob Mintzer.
