About Taschenphilharmonie

Taschenphilharmonie (Pocket Philharmonic) is a Munich-based chamber orchestra, involved in the performance of arrangements for 12-20 musicians of larger orchestral works, such as the reductions made by Arnold Schoenberg, Erwin Stein, and others, for the Society for Private Musical Performances in the 1920s. Taschenphilharmonie is conducted by Peter Stangel, whose compositions the group has performed and recorded on its own label, Edition Taschenphilharmonie.
