Year of the Wolf is British singer/songwriter Nerina Pallot’s fourth full-length studio album, although it is the first to be released on a major label since the 2006 release of Fires. Pallot was pregnant during much of the album’s production, which affected the recording, as it made it harder for Pallot to sing normally. As a child she taught herself piano, later adding guitar to her repertoire before studying violin and opera at boarding school.
